The customer simply logs in with their public authority or company account and can then request and book interpreters. It is not necessary to download an app or install a program. With a lead time of 15 to a maximum of 120 minutes for common languages (or 24 hours for rare languages for which there are few interpreters in Germany), it is already possible to work with qualified interpreters via video conference. Highly trained interpreters for 45 languages are currently available for this service. No matter the issue, the system provides the customer with someone via laptop, PC or tablet within a short space of time.

The type of interpreting is consecutive, i.e. the interpreting is carried out in sections with a time delay to the speaker. “If our customers want to access our voice service more often, Hiiios is a great support,” says Armin Deiri. Different pricing models are offered depending on the frequency of use. The system also handles billing, monthly reporting and the assignment of cost centers, file numbers, etc., so that the customer receives a convenient service.
