ReSartus at the Clever Fit Congress 2025
Gut Wöllried near Würzburg, November 13, 2025 – Last week, ReSartus attended the event “Push the Future – The New Clever Fit Congress 2025.” The major event at Gut Wöllried, not far from Würzburg, focused on the takeover of the clever fit brand by Basic-Fit. The focus was on the strategic developments in the wake of the takeover, the resulting opportunities for markets and partners, and the prospects for the successful continuation of the clever fit brand under new management.
Two days earlier, Dutch fitness company Basic-Fit had announced the successful acquisition of clever fit. With this move, Basic-Fit secures its market leadership in Germany and successfully continues its expansion in the franchise market. Basic-Fit currently operates around 450 clubs in Germany and plans to focus more on franchise integration in the future. CEO René Moss described the acquisition of clever fit as a decisive step in positioning Basic-Fit as the largest and fastest-growing fitness chain.
Alongside numerous other speakers, two prominent representatives from Basic-Fit gave comprehensive insights into the company’s development, strategic growth plans, and next steps for expansion in their keynotes. The audience included franchise partners and leading industry representatives.
In his presentation, Riccardo Christ highlighted key topics such as effective growth strategies, sustainable member retention, and the targeted exploitation of existing market potential. Alfred Enzensberger devoted his keynote speech to the acquisition of the clever fit brand, praised the joint success story, and explained the next steps in future cooperation.

The ReSartus team played a central role, with the two interpreters simultaneously translating all speakers’ keynotes into English, enabling non-German-speaking audience members to follow the speeches. An interpreting booth was provided for their work, allowing them to concentrate and work in a noise-free environment. The audience was able to follow the interpretation in real time via headsets provided.
Although this was no uncharted territory for the two interpreters, this type of event still requires careful preparation. They were provided with the schedule and information about the content of the event and the individual speeches. They also received special preparatory material to familiarize themselves with the terminology and style of the respective speakers. Since the planning of such events often continues until shortly before the start and is characterized by last-minute changes, the interpreters had little time for technical preparation. However, thanks to their many years of experience, the two mastered their terminological excursion into the fitness industry with confidence.
We are delighted to be working with the organizer, Island Collective GmbH, and would like to express our sincere thanks to our interpreters for their dedicated efforts.
